Atha yogānuśāsanam :: And now we begin the practice of yoga
I will be teaching Vinyasa Flow from 4:15 - 5:00 pm at Dixon Rec Center in Corvallis (FitPass) for Winter term 2018.
My Yoga Story. My first experience with yoga was when I began practicing at the YMCA across the street from my high school in Eugene. Ever since that first practice I knew yoga would be a consistent part of my life. For me, yoga has a personal refuge and sanctuary where I can take time for myself and connect with the part of me that is always “deeply ok” (as my teacher, Ulla Lundgren, would say). In 2016, I left a job in finance to go back to school and added to my goals a desire to have a deeper yoga practice and become certified as a yoga teacher. I started my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2017 at The Yoga Lab in Bend in the Hatha and Vinyasa traditions.

Mission Statement. Many of the circles of life that I belong to are full of people doing yoga, but many of them are not. My way to serve through yoga is to bring it to those who might not otherwise have access to it. I strive to not only be fully present in my yoga teaching, but to carry that presence with me to my day job, family, friends, and trips to the dog park. My goal for my classes is to facilitate an environment that allows for a heightened awareness of self. I believe in dynamic interactions between students and teachers, which manifests as frequent verbal adjustments. My teaching styles are Vinyasa, Hatha, and restorative yoga.
